| | Top of Page | | | FOM (Foundation of Fundamental Research on Matter) | The Foundation for Fundamental Research on Matter (FOM) promotes, co-ordinates and finances fundamental physics research in the Netherlands. It is an autonomous foundation responsible to the physics division of the national research council NWO. Its annual budget is 150 million guilders. FOM employs about 950 people, of who about 325 are PhD students and 100 are post-docs. They work at FOM research institutes and in university laboratories. The foundation also finances and operates a number of research facilities at and in collaboration with universities. | | Go to this site >> |

| | The Centre for Analysis, Scientific computing and Applications (CASA) has both specific expertise in a variety of relevant technical areas and a solid knowledge of a large number of mathematical methods and algorithms to tackle problems arising in industry and commerce. CASA’s organisational structure ensures integration of participating disciplines and efficiently combining the resources. At CASA theory and applications are intertwined, providing for a unique position both on national level and in an international context. The consultancy we provide aims at solving problems arising in industry and commerce. In this context the focus can be two-fold. It can be benificial for you from a cost reduction point of view by optimizing process parameters and it can help you to get a better insight in your production process by means of numerical simulation and a parameter sensitivity analysis. A possibility is a partnership in projects funded by Senter and EU.
